advice & student rights

Mike Hill - Advice and Student Rights Manager

"I’m able to offer you advice on a variety of issues connected with your time at UEA, from housing and employment to finance and academic issues. Appointments can be made to fit with your needs and can be done in person, on the phone, by email or Skype.

Jo Plumstead - Advice Worker

I offer advice on how to resolve any problems you may experience while you are at UEA. Questions can be about anything, but typically I talk to students about difficulties at work, academic issues, housing, and student money worries. Meetings can be face to face, by phone, email or Skype.

In my spare time I like to walk and cycle. I am completely addicted to pastéis de nata and my ambition is to learn how to make them."

Carl Portman - Advice Worker

"I work with students on a variety of matters and I would be happy to help you deal with any problems you have during your time at university."

housing & community

Alex de Ritis - Housing and Volunteers Manager

"I manage the Housing & Community team here at uea (su) where we provide students with information and support that allows them to access safe, reliable and affordable accommodation.

We also run an accreditation scheme for local landlords that let their properties to students throughout the academic year. If you have any questions or issues regarding your property, tenancy agreement, landlord or housemates then please get in touch!

Natalie Beales - Housing Coordinator

"I coordinate the day to day running of Home Run, the Union’s accreditation scheme and Home Let, our own Lettings Agency. Home Run and Home Let are based in the Advice and Housing Office in Union House."
