inspireuea: change starts on your campus

InspireUEA is a new week of events organised by the SU to help you make change. No matter what you’re passionate about – charity work, politics, media – we want to give you the skills and the know-how to make the changes you want to see in the world.

As the globe is becoming an increasingly hostile and turbulent place, many students want to do something about it. However, some simply don’t know where to start.

InspireUEA is here to provide channels that you can engage with and people you can learn from. All week, of different charities, activist groups and societies to give workshops on campus throughout this week. They’re free, open to all, and you don’t have to commit to anything beyond the session.

Greenpeace, for example, is here today to speak about non-violent direct action, and the differences between passive and active involvement. Whether or not you agree with Greenpeace’s objectives, this is a vital information for anyone who wants to begin their journey as an activist.
