earn those pounds with job opportunities at uea(su)

At UEA Students' Union,  we are students transforming, and what better way to earn than working for us. To achieve this, we employ around 70 members of career staff who aim to support our range of student spocieties and clubs and members of student staff who help run the students union from late club nights to the early morning UNIO coffee needs.

Every year, around 800 students work in all the departments we have. The wide range of roles means there is something for everyone; from Digital Communications Assistant to Venues Staff, Bakery Assistant to Finance Assistant and everything in-between!

It is a great opportunity for students to jazz up their CV with real experience whilst also earning an amazing wage to help with accommodation and living expenses.

We offer flexible hours tailored around your timetable, and we pay the Living Wage Foundation rate of pay – this is currently a whopping £9.00 per hour, plus an additional 12.07% holiday pay on top! To us students, that is music to our ears.

We usually do two types of student staff recruitment each year. Sometimes, individual roles will become available throughout the year where we need to fill some spaces in our teams pretty quickly. At the start of semester two we launch our large-scale student staff recruitment for the following academic year, where we'll advertise for all roles across the organisation.

Keep your eyes peeled for announcements about when we're hiring on our social media as well as on our website here and it could be you next, pulling a pint behind the SU bar.
