LGBT+ History Month is important to our community because it celebrates the progress we have made and enables us to acknowledge and give recognition to those who fought for us to be in the positions we are in today. We want to stand in solidarity with Trans and non-binary students and the whole LGBT+ community to ensure that our voices are heard, to make sure our campus is safe for all students, and to share the stories that shape the narrative around LGBT+ issues.
At uea(su) we are proud to be celebrating LGBT+ History Month, and there are a range of events taking place to mark the occasion. Check out the full schedule below, there’s plenty for everyone to get involved with!
We've got everything from a ‘blind date with a book’ event, to a cinema trip to see ‘boy erased’, to an open mic night... and SO much more. Why not just pick one of the events and get involved in everything we have to offer for LGBT+ history month...even if it just means you get your hands on one of UNIO’s special ‘borne-this-frappe' drinks!
