Many students head home for the Christmas break, but for some, largely Postgraduates and International Students, it's not possible or feasible.
Staying at UEA for the festive period, particularly if you live on campus, can sometimes feel isolating as the campus empties out and shuts down, but at uea(su) we’ll still be here – even on Christmas day.
In the run up to Christmas day, Postgraduate(su) are running two free ice skating sessions in the city on the 20th and 21st December. It's a great chance to try something new and meet other Postgrads,
just head to the website here and sign up for your ticket by placing a £5 deposit that you'll get back after the event. If you'd like to bring family along or have any other questions, just let us know by emailing Silvia at email@example.com
In addition to PG events, we also wanted to do something for students who are staying in Norwich for Christmas day. If you're on campus on the 25th, you don't have to be on your own, as UNIO will be opening from 11am to 3.30pm. There will be board games available to break the ice and allow you to Say Hello to other students, and we're also giving out free drinks vouchers that can be redeemed between 11am and midday. Although the postgraduate team are leading this event, it's open to everyone, so if you'll be on campus on Christmas day, you can come and get your drink voucher from the Union House reception. If you've got any questions about which Union facilities will be open over the Christmas break, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Wherever you are for the festive period, we hope you have a Happy Christmas!
