Research is an integral part of many Postgraduate qualifications and at UEA there’s always an interesting and diverse range of research being undertaken. Often, you’ll only get to experience a small proportion of what’s out there – knowing what you’re working on and perhaps what friends or others in your school are doing. To open up the research community and showcase the work of Postgraduates, for the first time ever we’re hosting a full-day conference in Union House.
The inaugural Postgraduate Education Conference will be on Saturday 17th November. As part of this, there will be a research showcase where students have the opportunity to present their research to a non-expert audience, with the best oral and poster presentations receiving a prize of £100.
The research showcase is just part of the conference; with a series of discussions, workshops and panels happening concurrently throughout the day. Lunch will be provided, with refreshments also available throughout the day, and a wine reception & prize giving ceremony after the closing remarks. A provisional programme for the day can be found by clicking here.
This conference could really benefit the postgraduate community at UEA. Any suggestions or comments on how we run this event are welcomed.
The conference is completely free, but you need to register to attend even if you’ve submitted an abstract to present. Register here: https://www.uea.su/ents/event/4673/
