I hope you are enjoying this busy start to the academic year at UEA.
Are you excited? Nervous?
When I came to UEA from Japan for my MA degree last year, there were so many fun things to do. But at the same time, I missed my friends in Japan a bit and the food back home, and what mostly worried me was how I would write and read academically.
But no worries!
UEA has the Learning Enhancement Team which can help you study more effectively and help you to improve your work.
There are lots of resources on their website to help you with your studies.
From week 3 (w/c 12 October) their weekly helpdesks and workshops on academic study, maths and statistics start again.
The English Language Support Programme (ELSP) aims to help International students develop the English language skills necessary for successful study. Registration for ELSP classes is open until Tuesday 6 October at 12pm and classes start from Monday 12 October – full details, including how to register, are available online.
If you’re a postgraduate student and you are looking for a supportive space in which to make progress with your writing, why not try a Writing Retreat with the Learning Enhancement Team.
To contact the Team you can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
