Wednesday 19 February 2020, 3pm - 4pm

ARTS 01.18

Many cups of tea are drunk in homes and offices throughout the UK but from where did this love of tea come from?

When did tea first arrive in Britain? Where did it initially come from? What happened at the Boston Tea Party? What about the British concept of afternoon tea? Do people still take afternoon tea in Britain today? Who are the biggest tea drinkers in the world?

Come and find answers to these questions and more. Your reward? A nice cup of tea (choose from a range of popular British flavours) and a delicious scone with clotted cream and jam!
