Disruptive Library Tour: decolonising the Library

Friday 21 February 2020, 2pm - 4pm

library conference spaces

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED AND WILL HOPEFULLY BE MOVING TO A DATE IN MARCH!

The Interdisciplinary Institute for the Humanities (IIH) and UEA Librarians will lead critical tours through the Library highlighting problems with the way resources are arranging or described and identifying hidden collections and how these can be more easily found. After the tours participants with have an opportunity to discuss the issues over tea and coffee and suggest ways in which the current structures might be exploited or disrupted to help decolonise and diversify the Library. There will be activity, fun, refreshments, serious conversation, and an opportunity to bring about some positive changes.

This is a Do Something Different activity. Do Something Different is an extracurricular programme to enhance your time at university. From our week long festival in February to daily activities ranging from arts to sports, there is a do something different activity happening everyday!
