HELL IS HOME

Last Friday, slowthai topped the UK album charts and the UK vinyl charts with his second album ‘TYRON’. Selling more than double the units of his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Nothing Great About Britain’ less than 2 years ago, ‘TYRON’ sales weighed heavy on physical as slowthai cemented his path for being one of Britains most revered and loved alternative rappers. Globally, the album has already sold through 65k adjusted units in under 2 weeks.

A standout from the record being raised up by fans is the affecting album closer, ‘adhd’ where slowthai digs deep and finds untold courage to expose the inner workings of his mind. In stark contrast to recent singles ‘CANCELLED’ and VEX, ‘adhd’ is essentially the point of  TYRON, the album is a journey from start to finish and this song is the finale and if social chatter is anything to go by, it’s helping a lot of people out there with the same condition.

The video is also a counterpoint to the ruckus caused by CANCELLED and VEX and find slowthai in a contemplative space – a one-take shot of him with a city-scape backdrop feeling distant from the noise and bustle of the world.

slowthai recently announced his ‘SOMETHING TO LOOK FOWRARD TO’ tour in support of small venues for September 2021 which sold out in seconds last week. In the hope of not disappointing fans, he has now prepared a full-blown roam of the country for March 2022 which includes 2 x O2 Academy Brixton shows in London.
