walk & talk: PGR walking group
Thursday 07 March 2019, noon - 1pm
outside the sainsbury centre at the main reception entrance
A no-pressure walking group for postgraduate research students.
It's important to take a break every now and then. Physical activity can have a positive impact on the wellbeing of individuals with mental health issues, and regular breaks can help improve motivation and productivity levels. So why not join us for an afternoon walk around campus?
This week's walk coincides with University Mental Health Day 2019 - a day in which we should "use our voice" to improve mental health services in universities. As we walk today, we will be discussing our own experiences with mental health, and what the UEA can do to improve its student services.
We will be meeting at the UEA Sainsbury Centre main entrance at 12pm, it would be great to see you there!
This walking group has been set up by the Courage Project, a collaboration between the UEA and the UEA Students' Union intended to improve the mental health and wellbeing of postgraduate research students.
