Are you a Postgraduate Researcher looking for a low-commitment, judgement-free running group? PGRunners is here for you!
PGRunners is a running group aimed at all abilities; so whether you're an adept runner, semi-confident jogger, or totally novice meanderer, we would love for you to join us! We meet at 9:00am every Wednesday morning outside the UEA Sportspark. The sessions include warm ups and cool downs, with running activities pitched at the level and interest of the members of the group. They are also completely FREE! Just be sure to come along in comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for running.

We are also starting up a Microsoft Teams group (it's like Whatsapp, except more appropriate for us to set up) for folks to chat more informally between weekly runs. Please fill in the form here to be added.
PGRunners began in January 2019 as a collaborative project between the uea(su) Courage Project and Zoe Jones from the Learning Enhancement Team (LET). Zoe runs (haha, get it) each PGRunners session, and the first set of PGRunners recently completed their first ever Parkrun after just nine weeks of training! We have our sights set on another Parkrun date for this new session of PGRunners - 8th June - so come join us throughout May as we gear up for that!
There is plenty of anecdotal and researched evidence to suggest that regular running and exercise can help sufferers of mental health problems control their symptoms better, the Courage Project hopes that PGRunners may be able to help UEA postgraduates better manage their stress levels, feel less isolated, and provide them with people to reach out to if they need help. We hope to see you there!
