Beginners Meditation for PGRs

Free Meditation Sessions for PGRs at UEA are being hosted by Asta.
Asta Ratna Prajapati is a Consultant Pharmacist (currently under NIHR Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship Program) and a fellow PhD student at UEA. As well as an expert in medication Asta is also a devout meditator and hosts meditation sessions regularly (both face to face and online).
Full instruction will be provided and participants will be guided throughout the session using audio-instruction, so it is suitable for everyone, including beginners.
We will spend most of the time during the session on Breath meditation (being aware of in and out breath) and Body scanning meditation (paying attention to each part of the body). But we will also practice attitude of gratitude (being grateful for what we have) and tightening body muscles (to release strains/stress) at the beginning; and love and kindness meditation at the end. Hopefully, you will come out of the session with less stress and more joy ??. You don’t need to bring anything as we will be sitting on chairs while meditating but you are welcome to bring your own meditation cushions if you want to sit on the floor.
Please arrive at 5:25 to get yourself settled and ready for a 5:30pm start.
