'What's wrong with Teddy?' workshop

Wednesday 20 October 2021, 1:45pm - 2:45pm

Magdalen Gates Primary School

Come and volunteer with us to teach primary school children about their health and what happens in hospitals!

Hi everyone

The tickets are up for our first volunteer event of the year!

This event involves visiting a primary school class and hosting activities with small groups of children to teach them about topics such as our skeleton, healthy eating, mental health and what happens in the hospital and surgery.  The children are also asked to bring in their own teddy or toy to pretend to be their 'patient', so it is a really fun and interactive event to help host.  All resources needed for the event are provided by the society.

We will book the taxis for getting to and from the event for all volunteers participating.

Also note that to volunteer, we ask that you have a DBS check, as you will be in contact with children.

We will send out more details in the briefing nearer the event to make sure you are all prepared for the activities!  If you have any questions about the event, please feel free to get in touch using our email: [email protected], or give us a message on our social medias.
