Come along to our annual day out to visit the seal pups at Horsey, followed by a pub lunch and then a stroll along Winterton beach!
The coach will leave from UEA at 9am before a roughly 45 minute drive to the Horsey Gap. Here we will be fortunate to receive a talk from one of the wardens about the seals and the equipment used during rescues! We will then have plenty of time to walk along the beach edge and view the seal pups from a safe point.
There are no toilet facilities at the Horsey Gap but there are some near the coach drop off point at the Poppylands Cafe, however we will be leaving Horsey at 12pm and heading to the Lacon Arms for lunch and there will be facilities there. Lunch is a buffet carvery with both vegan and vegetarian options and will cost between £8-£10 but feel free to bring your own packed lunch if you would prefer!
After lunch we will head to the beautiful Winterton beach for a stroll before heading back to UEA. In previous years we have also seen seals here!
Keep an eye on the weather but please be prepared and wrap up warm with coats, scarves etc.
Can't wait to see you there!
