The first on ice training for UEA Ice!!!!

Welcome to our first on ice training of the year. Here we will be running some drills, using the stickhandling, and shooting that we learnt in training and adapting it to on ice. In addition, there will be game situation scenarios to help those of all abilities and we will end the session with a scrimmage which is a short match between everyone.

For this event we will be meeting at 7pm in the Hive (6.45pm if you need to borrow kit) and we will then travel by Minibus to Cambridge Ice rink, where we will then get ready for our 9pm - 11pm training session. We will then after training return to campus with maybe a stop in McDonald’s (depending on whether it is open). We aim to be back on Campus by about 1am.

We do have equipment that can be borrowed for the session. We do ask that members are able to skate and stop before attending training as a result we ask new people to ice skating to usually attend a rec skate or a couple before attending a training. This is purely for your own safety.

Price of session is £20 but this is to cover the cost of transport and ice hire.

Please remember to fill out the COVID tracking form put going on the Facebook event and make sure you comment on the transport and equipment post if needed. And to do a Lateral Flow Test prior to the event.
