Trainee Nursing Associates

Trainee Nursing Associates

As UEA students, Trainee Nursing Associates should be entitled to the same level of service provision from uea and uea(su) as any other student at the university. Where this is not the case, hsc(su) is on your side to lobby for change. If there's an opportunity you want to be part of, information which is unclear to you or anything else you may need to achieve parity of experience, contact Shaun Keen on [email protected] and we will do our best to address this.

Support

advice(su) exists independently of both UEA and CCN and can provide support to ensure you feel well, live well and study well over the course of your apprenticeship. They can support you with any issues you may be having with UEA, including the Fitness to Practice process, as well as with your physical and mental welfare.

The full range of support available to TNAs can be found on our Welfare & Support page here

Societies

There are over 200 societies on campus which cover everything you could be interested in, from gaming to garlic bread, womanist to wine and cheese - The full list can be found here, and as a member of our Students' Union you are eligable to join any of them. Societies often hold activities off-campus, from real ale pub crawls to day walks around the local area, so there's plenty of oppotunities to get involved without being at UEA.

Of particular interest may be the Nursing Society, who host a range of events, talks and socials specifically for those studying nursing qualifications - They can be found here.

Representation

You are entitled to a say in how your course is taught, assessed and delivered. Your cohort should have a student reps to cover every cohort and every day of teaching, who should be your primary point of contact to voice you opinions back to the university and the college. If you cannot find your rep, voice your concerns directly to the Union via Shaun Keen at [email protected].
