Whether you have cheered before or not, becoming a UEA Angel is an experience a you’ll never forget. Cheerleading is the perfect mixture of a team sport with a chance to have your indiviudal moment. It consists of four main areas; stunting, tumbling, jumping and dance and if you're not sure what this means then take a look at our instagram!
We are an extremely social, highly motivating and friendly squad, and joining the club is a great way to challenge yourself, do something exciting, keep fit and make loads of really good friends! NO EXPERIENCE is required, we have teams for all abilities and over 3/4 of our members have never done it before.
Next season we aim to take our Level One, Two and Three teams to three national competitions throughout the year, these include BCA Nationals, Future Cheer and Legacy Cheer and Dance and maybe even some new local competitions. As a club we love receiving trophies and earning national titles but we will also be offering NON-COMPETITIVE teams! These teams can perform in showcases and represent UEA in our annual Derby Day against the Essex University cheerleading team. In addition to this, we have a really close relationship with the UEA American Football team (UEA Pirates) - we are invited to watch their games (home and away) most Sundays during their competitive season.
If you are still undecided, please come and visit us at the Sportsfair on 25th September where you can sign up to one of our Give It A Go taster sessions 25th and 27th September, 8pm-10pm in the Sportspark Gymnasium.
Our tryout dates are Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd of October, 8pm-10pm in the Sportspark gymnasium. This is for our coaches to decide which team you're best suited to.
