REGARDING SPORTS NIGHT: In response to the mess that was Wednesday nights' sports night, the SU have decided to make sports nights ticketed. Next week (October wed 13) the tickets will be free but we will update you on any more changes to the tickets including costs etc. The SU has also opened up the LCR for the night so the party will be held in both Blue Bar and the LCR for more space. We also remind everyone of our ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY REGARDING ABUSE AND HATE TOWARDS STUDENTS AND STAFF. Any reports of this regarding any of the club members will lead to an immediate socials suspension for the individual(s). If you feel like you are receiving hate, this includes everything from small comments and bullying to any forms of hate, please don't hesitate to contact one of the coaches, your team captain or a member of the committee. We are here to help you and make sure you have a good time.
Whether you have cheered before or not, becoming a UEA Angel is an experience you’ll never forget. Cheerleading is the perfect mixture of a team sport with a chance to have your individual moment. It consists of four main areas; stunting, tumbling, jumping and dance and if you're not sure what this means, then take a look at our Instagram!
We are an extremely social, highly motivating and friendly squad, and joining the club is a great way to challenge yourself, do something exciting, keep fit and make loads of really good friends! NO EXPERIENCE is required, we have teams for all abilities, and over 3/4 of our members have never done it before.
Next season we aim to take our Level One, Two and Three teams to a National Competition. We love receiving trophies and earning national titles as a club, but we also offer a NON-COMPETITIVE team! This team can perform in showcases and represent UEA in our annual Derby Day against the Essex University cheerleading team. In addition to this, we have a really close relationship with the UEA American Football team (UEA Pirates) and are invited to watch their games (home and away) most Sundays and during their competitive season.
