UEA Boxing Club 2019/20
First session back for 2019/20 will be Sunday 29th September.
UEA Boxing Club is a competitive club for all Boxing ability levels. Running two campus sessions (Wednesdays, Sundays), and two off-campus sessions (Mondays and Thursdays). On a weekly basis we aim to bring together both committed and casual boxers, whatever their interest - whether that be competing, improving their fitness or self-defense.
For only £25 for a full year membership or £15 for 1 semester, we offer professional coaches present at each session, with automatic membership of our parent club Attleborough Amateur Boxing Club, the facility and all the equipment you need. If your standard is good enough, our new satellite status with Attleborough Amateur Boxing Club, will mean for the first time at this University, you are able to be carded and compete in Amateur Bouts.
As well as training and competing, we are all about community spirit and foster this with socials, trips and events.
Our Training Timetable is as follows:
Congregation Hall (Room 01.19)
Wednesday (5-7 PM) - Fitness and technique.
Sunday (5-7 PM) - Fitness and technique.
Attleborough ABC (meet outside Congregation hall at 6.45PM)
Monday (7:30-9PM) – Session including Sparring at Attleborough ABC
Thursday (7:30-9PM) – Session including Sparring at Attleborough ABC
For both sessions we provide transport to and from Attleborough ABC facilities, with pick-up outside of the Congregation Hall at 6.45PM (Transport provided from the Congregation Hall). Minibus seats given on a first come first serve basis, please be prompt/early to secure a spot. We arrive back on campus around 9:30
All you need to bring is yourself, appropiate sportswear, water and a good attitude. Everything else will be provided, as you progress you may be asked to provide your own hand wraps and gum shield, as for hygiene reasons we cannot provide these.
