I'm a member of the public

As a member of the public, you can become an associate member of uea(su). You will need to demostrate that you will bring something valuable to the group you would like to join, and explain why you would like to join a student group
Associate membership costs £50 plus the society specific membership fee and lasts from the point of purcahse to the 31st of July that academic year. It will allow you to join our societies; however, you will not be able to take part in elections of student officers or elections of clubs and societies committees, as they are UEA student led. You will be expected to uphold the same code of conduct as our students.
You will need to create an account on this website if you haven't already. Click the login icon in the top right corner, then navigate to the guest/staff login, and select register new user. Once you've done this, please email union.opportunities@uea.ac.uk and say you would like associate membership, including why you would like to join a student group and what you feel you will bring to the group. If you application is successful you will be added to a group and will be able to purchase you associate membership below. 


SAM Membership
In order to join a sports club, you will need to purchase associate membership, Sports Association Membership (SAM) and the specific club membership feee. SAM is £50 a year and covers lots of costs like coaching, equipment, competition costs etc. It is mandatory for all students and associate members who are in sports clubs, and only needs to be paid once a year..
