March Society of the Month is... ACS!
African-Carribean Society are one of the most active societies on campus!
Just this month they have already hosted dance sessions, sports nights, had guest speakers come to talk about health and nutrition, and hosted a relationships discussion during LGBT+ history month.
ACS also hosted a cultural food bring and share, where members and non-member attended with a cooked dish from their culture. They've competed in charity sports events and won, went to the screening of Black Panther as a society and all wore black in support of how the movie has changed representation for black [especially dark skinned] people in the media. They hosted a books and chill night, which is were people came to talk about books they had read, read some passages and share their recommendations.
A note from the committee:
"We'd like to highlight ACS Dance, who have performed at KAOS and several society balls this year. Our next major performance will be at Go Global in May!
We'd also like to promote ACS Ball, which is happening on the 19th April!
We also have work out sessions weekly, people can follow our social media pages to keep updated!
