A society dedicated to analysing the issues of the world.
In the Holistic society, we use a range of academic disciplines such as Psychology, Philosophy, Mathematics and the Sciences to discuss the problems and possible solutions to the issues that plague the world today, such as climate change, as well as age-old problems, like the question of whether a God exists. While traditional societies and groups look to solve issues with a reductionist, one-discipline perspective; at the Holistic society, we aim to bring in many different approaches.
In joining the Holistic society at UEA, you join a growing movement which is looking to change the way we think about and act in dealing with the world's challenges.
Members are encouraged to join from all academic disciplines, as they will all have ideas unique to their discipline, as well as their own perspective, which many others within the group may not have encountered.
