We teach and practice bicycle repair! Whether you've never picked up a spanner in your life or you're a budding bike mechanic looking for some practice, come along to our friendly open sessions.
We hold regular classes on specific skills like fixing punctures, adjusting gears and brakes, repalcing cables and mending chains. If you have some experiece and would like to practice, we repair and upcycle abandoned bikes, a great way to build confidence in bicycle repair. We stock the most common bicycle parts and can order in specailised equipment via Norwich Bicycle Repair Co-operative. You can come to any of our sessions and use tools, we always have an experienced mechanic on hand to guide and advise. There is often tea and cake.
We work in collaboration with the Norwich Bicycle Repair Co-operative (the bike repair shop on campus). They supply us with spare parts and help teach at our more advanced sessions. If you already have some experience, or want bicicycle support during university holidays, they hold a monthly open workshop, curently on the first Sunday of the month.
Thursday's 5-7:30, usually on floor 01 of Congregation Hall, or on the grass by the drama building if the sun in shining. Join our fb group for up to date times.
