*SHORTLISTED FOR BEST SOCIETY OF THE YEAR AWARD, 2019/20*
UEA Labour Society is a student group open to all on the left supporting a Labour government in the interests of the many. We are committed to providing a safe space for politically interested students to debate, discuss and socialise.
We reguarly work alongside the local and regional Labour Party through canvassing, activism, and interaction with internal party policy decisions. We hold a mix of frequent political educational events and are looking forward to a new year of exciting events, with membership input on topics and speakers they would like to see. There are also a variety of socials which we are hoping to vamp up this year, after the year of social isolation we have all faced, where anyone on the left can feel welcome to meet like-minded people and hopefully gain some long term lefty friends!
You don't need to be a Labour member to join the society or to come along to any of our events, all are welcome and all are appreciated!
