Hi and welcome to the Friendly Runner’s Club page! We’re a casual running group with a huge range of abilities, so regardless of whether you’re the new Mo Farah, or if the most running you’ve ever done is to catch a bus, if you’re wanting to have fun doing some exercise and meet new people in the process, then this is the society for you!
Amidst Covid-19 our runs will be taking place virtually over the Strava app.
It means the date, times, and distances can become more flexible to suit you. Any participation is welcomed so don't worry if you're feeling a bit sluggish or you can't run too far - it's a pandemic - you've won by getting out of bed today, and you're lapping the people on the sofa.
Our Runs:
Members of our committee will be running at 4pm to complete a 3k/5k every Wednesday to maintain our previous running-time structure, so join us (virtually) if you can! This can be done by downloading the Strava app and joining us in the clubs section - we come up as 'UEA Friendly Runners Club' and you'll see our logo!
---Over the course of September, comittee members will be mapping runs over UEA campus, the City and surrounding areas on Strava, shared on Instagram or Facebook for easily accesible route guides---
