What is the Food Co-Op?
The Food Co-Op is a not-for-profit, student-run, volunteer-based organisation that buys in wholesale foods and sells it on to students at super low prices. A list of the products we sell can be found here, but if there is anything, in particular, you are looking for we will try our best to stock it for you; drop us a message if you are interested in requesting an item. All of our stock is vegan.
COVID-19 UPDATE
We aren't able to operate our normal way of having a stall in the hive currently so we have set up an online ordering system, which you can find the link for above, 14th Oct is our first collection/delivery date.
As we aren't able to handle cash currently, we have set up a credit system - you need to buy a membership to use this. It's fairly simple, you go onto the SU website and buy a credit voucher, we then log that in our system, and when you place an order with us the cost of that order just comes out of your credit account with us! If you don't have enough credit left in your account we'll let you know, but you won't be able to receive your order until you have topped up. How to Get Involved?
If you want to get involved in the Food Co-Op we always appreciate volunteers. We'll be recruiting more committee members at some point this semester, so just keep an eye on our social media for when those launch! Until then, you can join our Food Co-op Volunteers Facebook Group.
