FOMO is a very real phenomenon. As scary as it sounds, you can avoid catching it by jumping into university life and getting involved. Whether it be through a wristband, individual event tickets or membership to our sports clubs and societies, there’s something for everyone here.

We recognise that all our students have a talent that they shine in. Be it sporting prowess and the ability to knock a cheeky rabona into the top bag, to passionate debating on current world issues… or perhaps you have baking abilities that rival those of Mary Berry.

Our 60+ clubs offer recreational, competitive and performance-focused sports opportunities. Whether it’s a casual game of Ultimate Frisbee or representing UEA in competitions – you could even end up as national champions like our Cheerleading teams!

Or ever fancied becoming a ghost hunter? While we're not promising anything, it's definitely a possibility if you join the Ghost Hunting Society.

From campus news to music reviews and even space to air your own views, Concrete has something for everybody. If you aspire to a career in journalism, or if you just want to try something new at university, then Concrete is the place for you. We are looking for writers, copy-editors, photographers, artists and researchers to join our team. distributes a magazine with a variety of articles ranging from artist interviews to breaking news stories. Find up-to-date news about what’s happening on and off campus in their online articles.

Broadcasting since 1990, Livewire is one of UEA's biggest societies and has been the sound of UEA for over a quarter of a century! There's so much to get involved with, whether that's presenting/producing a show, interviewing amazing artists or writing great content for our blog 'The Loop' - and that's just the tip of the iceberg!

UEATV is a student run online channel made by students for students. They won't say no to any ideas, if you want to make something they will help you make it!  Anything from creating your own reality tv series to trying out being a news presenter. UEATV is for anyone right from the novices all the way to those who would say that there a pro.
