There are lots of different ways you can meet students at UEA and go to events that meet commuters needs such as at a variety of start and finish time of events and non-alcohol focused socials as part of our A Night to remember campaign.
A brand-new society created for commuters and local students to meet new people - promoting positive wellbeing and a sense of community. If you would like to join the society, head over to their webpage or feel free to contact one of their committee members to introduce yourself.
Clubs, Societies and Peer Support
The SU offers lots of opportunities for you to enjoy student life away from the textbooks. We like to think that we have something for everyone, and if we don’t, we can help you to develop new activities that you're passionate about. All our clubs, societies and peer support groups are run by student committees who volunteer to bring these activities to you. Through societies and peer support groups, the SU empowers students to make a change in their communities. All these groups are run by students alongside their studies and provide you with a wide array of opportunities to learn new skills, meet new people and get the most out of your time at UEA. You can find our club and society pages here
Do Something Different is an extracurricular programme delivered by the Students’ Union, with the support of the UEA, to enhance your time at university. Most DSD events will be run online during the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year. The majority of DSD activities are free to enable all students to partake, this also applies to the online events that we will be running over the next semester. To book onto an event, head over to the DSD website
