Representation is at the core of the SU’s services. Student representation is a tool for empowerment and change, a system of collaboration between students and UEA, enabling you to shape your education.

Trying to make change alone can be difficult and intimidating, which is why the Union supports representation and student reps voicing the opinions of their peers.

Representation is a vital service to make sure that you get the best out of your education and to improve things not only for current students but future students too.

The SU supports representation in lots of different ways. Internally, our Democratic structure aims to ensure that every one of our members are represented and included in all of our decisions and activities. This is done through:

We also facilitate the representation of our members to UEA through our external representation structures; Course Reps, Faculty Convenors and our Advice Centre.
