As an SU, looking after and improving the welfare of our students is a central objective.

Welfare Campaigns

Our welfare campaigns are all about making our students safer and happier on campus and beyond.

  • Never Ok: this is our campaign to stop sexual harassment.
  • Light Up Campus: this is our campaign to improve campus safety.
  • Safer Taxi Scheme: our new SU scheme to help students without money for a taxi get home safe.
  • #standbyme: UEA Students Union (UEA|SU) are taking a stand against the notion that sexual assault does not happen on campus at UEA.
  • Preventing Prevent: UEA|SU are organising to oppose the government's "Prevent" scheme.
  • Tackling Sexual Violence: Click this link to see UEA|SU's journey in fighting sexual violence.

Faith and Spirutality Support

At UEA we seek to build a multi-faith and multi-spirutality community where people of all faiths, all spirutalities and none can feel safe, welcomed and free to practice their faith. We have 12 societies for many different faiths, and the University also runs a Multi-Faith Centre, which provides a safe space for students of all faiths and all spirutalities as well as a large variety of events.

You can read more about our services for students of faith and spirutality here.
