To help you plan, we have collated all the key dates for the election below. It also includes workshops and briefing sessions. Where a workshop is compulsory it will say as such.

Compulsory Candidate Briefing

This meeting is compulsory for candidates to attend. Candidate Briefings are an opportunity to:

• Bring candidates together

• Talk about campaigning effectively

•Trustee agreement to be signed

Candidate Training Session - Campaign Support

12:00-14:00 Bookable Room 1

During the nomination period, we will be hosting multiple lunchtime drop-in sessions to give you an opportunity to talk to a member of staff involved in running the election. From asking about particular roles to campaigning guidance, these sessions are in place to ensure you get the best out of the election period that you can and feel well equipped and ready. Sessions will be specific to either manifesto or campaign support, however, opportunities for questions or wider discussion are always available.

Campaigning begins 

This is the time that campaigning opens – candidates and campaign teams must not begin to campaign before this time.

During the voting period, all candidates are required to attend an am and pm debrief held by the SU.

Complaints deadline 

All complaints must be sent in prior to this time. The Elections Count will not start until all complaints have been resolved to the satisfaction of the Returning Officer
