Today marks the start of the two week application window in which you can apply to work as a student staff member at uea(su). The deadline for applications is Wednesday 13thFebruary, so don’t delay!

We the following available roles: welcome desk assistants, Unio baristas, copywriters, designers, photographers, shop assistants, venues staff and marketing assistants. Each role offers so much variety. You can find the job descriptions for each role by following the links below.
Tempted by more than one role? No problem! You can apply for as many as you like but you’re only able to accept one job offer, as ever student staff’s hours are capped at 15 hours per week to make sure you have enough time to study and join clubs and societies!

Before I was elected as your activity and opportunities officer, I worked in the Venues team for just under two years and it was such a fantastic experience.
uea(su) pays all staff the national living wage, and this includes student staff! This is currently £8.75 per hour (better than most student jobs in Norwich) and we also pay 12.07% holiday pay on top of this.
As a student member of staff, there’s a range of development opportunities to get involved in. From Student Transformation Weekend in September to Edge Conference in February, we invest a lot of time in upskilling all our teams.
As well as all this, we celebrate the success of our staff at our end of year party, so keep an eye out for the Student Transformation Awards & Recognitions coming in May. Each department also runs staff socials throughout the year which are a great way to unwind and meet other members of the team!
