What is Movember?
Movember is an annual event during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide.
The goal of Movember is to raise as much money as possible to "change the face of men's health". Last year the UEA Movember campaign raised over £7,500!
Although the campaign is to raise money for men's health, everyone can get involved and help!
First things first, you need to make sure you are signed up before you start fundraising.
- As an individual: visit this link to set up your own profile on the Movember page
- As a team: Once you have created an individual account you can join a team (see left hand button in your ‘mo space’) so you can work together to raise money for Movember as a club/Ziggurat Team – this is a great way to see how much your club/Ziggurat team is raising for the cause.
- As UEA: Once you have set up a team you can then join the overall UEA challenge and see how much we are raising as a University, we all like some friendly rivalry between teams (Men’s Rugby led the way last year). To join the UEA challenge click the arrow on the top tab of your mo space and then click on challenges – then search University of East Anglia and click to join this challenge.
uea(su) and UEA Sport are collaborating together to help promote Movember among students & we've put on a great programme of events taking place this November to support the campaign - check out the calendar below.
