The UEA Magic society is one which gives any student the opportunity to learn, practice and perform magic with a friendly and diverse range of people. No audition is required to join the group so whether you’re a seasoned card shark or completely new to conjuring, come along and enjoy!
We have members that cover everything from mentalism to cardistry, from street to stage to close up and everything inbetween. Whatever it is that you want to learn and perform, if it’s anything magical, we do it. There are society meetings weekly and these are used to hold workshops, lectures, socials and competitions. The only clause in joining the society is that if you want to learn, you have to give performing a try! The society offers a friendly environment with an open and encouraging audience to try this with. It’s only through performing that we can enhance magic and find out when it really works. If the thought of performing terrifies you, and you’d rather just watch the performances of others, follow our ‘Friends of the UEA Magic Society’ page (link below). On top of the tips and tricks shared with you by other members, by becoming a member, you will have access to a library of magic tuition books and DVD’s.
One of the best parts of magic is sharing the secrets with those that are involved, and if this is a circle you’d like to become a part of, then come along!
Meetings are every Wednesday from 19:00 - 21:00 usually in JSC 2.02.
