We are run by students for students. We understand that students need to be involved in the work we do and this requires a sense of ownership. Students need to provide steer to staff and elected officers. This requires a platform and bringing everything together.
International Assembly is open to all international students to discuss issues and ensure that decisions affecting international students are made by those students. It is an informal space to express your opinions, where you can actually make a difference. The International Assembly will set international-focused policy to mandate the work of the InternationalSU Committee and international representatives of the Student Officer Committee. It will also be able to send policy recommendations to Union Council.
Elections for the International Students' Assembly Committee will run from 10am Sunday 18th March. Nominations open 10am Sunday 18th March until 10am Friday 20th April. Voting will then run 3pm Friday 20th April until 3pm Friday 4th May. This election will be governed by these rules. Once voting is open it is recommended that candidates use available channels to encourage students to vote in these elections.
