do something different

Advertise and promote Club or Society by holding a Do Something Different week session!

As a committee, it's worth seeing if an event or activity you are planning would count as a DSD session as you may be able to apply for £40 towards your activity.

How?

When the new year starts (September/October) the first event you hold or day of your activity within your group is classed as a Taster Session - a time for new students to pop along, try something new, and test out your group to see if they would like to join!

As a Taster Session, therefore, your first activity is actually a DSD Taster, and if you need any extra support, you could apply for some funding.

Do Something Different offers the chance for students or student groups to apply for up to £40 which can be used towards their activity.

However, this funding is not only restricted to the first few weeks of term!

You can host a DSD session at any point throughout the year and get money for it. If this is something your society, peer support group or club is interested in then take a look at the DSD website for more information!

Alternatively, you can email our DSD Administrator, Chloe, who can answer any of you questions and support you with your activity.
